The trailhead and Utah

I'm disappearing to find myself in the woods-and so this is my ode to the outdoors! To the sleet, to the rain, to the below freezing tempatures in the Palisades! Do your worst, cold weather! For I will do mine!!! I will wear my thermax, my fleece and my gortex! I will wear wool socks with my chacos and plastic baggies from the produce section to keep out the mud! And while you let your chilled droplets of water fall on my weatherproof tent, I will snugly enjoy my 10degree sleeping bag and literature. You do not scare me-snow! For I am prepared!

Anyway, I'm heading off to go backpacking for a couple days. Rumor has it that it will snow and that we might encounter bears-they're starving right now and will eat plastic if they have too. If and when I get back I'll put up some pictures.

But for right now... I'll just say that Jeff and I had a fun weekend in Utah and I love love love the fall colors! So bright and so friendly!!! And Jeff and I are too cute for our own good. Try not to be jealous.
