It feels like all I have done for the last several months is express how much I love The Woodlands and would enjoy staying here for quite a while. There are so many people here that I love I could hardly imagine going anywhere else. It'd have to be somewhere awesome, like Montana or Idaho, that would ease the sting of leaving and make it bearable. Somewhere with mountains, or trees, or water, or heck, I'd even settle for somewhere that had grass. Apparently Jeff has other plans and would like to ditch the trees, the gorgeous bike paths through the trees, the plethora of neighborhood pools, and many other amenities so we can move to Lubbock, Texas. At least he has a reason.

Jeff is going to get another bachelor's at Texas Tech this fall. And the next spring. And the fall after that. And the spring after that. And probably the fall after that. ... and maybe the spring after that. While I am not excited about moving to Lubbock, I do have to admit they have one of the prettiest campus's I've seen.

We went up there in May to attend a mandatory orientation. I've never been to a college orientation besides BYU-Hawaii, and that was only because they offered free tickets to the Polynesian Culture Center. And a bus ride around the Island. Guess how many of the two hundred recent high school graduates brought their spouse and baby? That's right. We were the three coolest people on campus. With our stroller. And baby who cried during the chancellors welcome address.

But we suffered through the orientation, hung out with Twistan, and enjoyed what we saw of Lubbock. I've come to the conclusion that while it's not the prettiest town, the people are incredibly nice. Or at least I think so. Mostly because almost everyone in the parent's portion of orientation and restaurant we went to people would come up to tell me what a beautiful baby I have. It's pretty easy these days to win me over. But in all seriousness, Lubbock does seem full of super nice and sweet people. And, they have their own temple.

Which has some incredibly rare green grass. Twistan wuved it.
