Wogging has resumed! I posted on Facebook when I attempted my first mile. I think I was 7 weeks post partum? Yeah... I immediately regretted that decision. But, here we are, something like 10 weeks later and I've already jogged more than 10 miles. Thank you, thank you very much! It feels SO GOOD to be outside sweating again, and I couldn't do it without my super awesome jogging stroller.
You see, once you have a baby you have a CONSTANT companion who goes everywhere and does everything with you. Here's me, here's him. Here's me, here's him. Anyway, trying to jog with a regular Graco jogging stroller is probably going to do more harm than good, which is why I've been dying to have a jogging stroller. I've known how much I've wanted one since last January (2010), when the littlest kid I nannied was too little to ride a bike and I'd take her in their jogging stroller. It's a must have when you have children.
I love that the handle adjusts so someone short, like myself, can have the handle at a comfortable position for me. I also love the basket. Chunky gets tired after a couple miles, so it's nice to be able to take him every time I go, instead of just short runs.
The handle also adjusts higher so Jeff can use it. Not his favorite, jogging with the baby, but hey if he has to he can! You can see the safety hand strap there. I use it to tie Chunky's leash when he's getting too sniffy. And when I actually have a leash on him.
And one of my favorite little things is this pouch. Great location for it. I put my water bottle here now instead of using my running belt (I'll post about that later). And my keys. And my phone. And my spray. That's right-my pink pepper spray I never jog without. Anyway, I love it. Love the stroller. Makes me excited to go running!

And now I have my own. I can't express how much I love this jogging stroller. Well, maybe I can. I LOVE this stroller.
I love it so much you hate it compared to how much I love it.

This is the In-Step Safari jogging stroller, in blue and lime green. Which, matches my beloved running watch I'll be talking about in a future post. I don't think it was on purpose, but oh, they are so cute together. It was like it was meant to be.
You'll have to excuse the pictures from my phone. I don't know what I did with the camera.
So, a little about the stroller. The front wheel swivels. I've read mixed reviews about swivel wheels, but I love it. I love it because then it doesn't always have to be a jogging stroller, you can take it anywhere, anytime. So far I've not had a problem with clipping it straight and leaving it swivelly. It also came with two different trays for the kiddo, a cup tray or a slightly less cuppy tray and a bug net. Also, instead of being a stagment position for the baby, the back adjusts so they can sleep or sit up. It's also SUPER padded so when I hit big bumps, he only slightly bounces around.
Also, notice the car seat on the stroller? It comes with a little bar so you can put the baby in his carrier too. Great, for when you get out of the car and he's sleeping still, or great for when you wanna use the stroller to go to the pool, the mall, or anywhere else this bad boy will take you. The one downside is the wheels are larger than a regular stroller wheel, so it's tough to fit in the trunk of the Saturn. It fits, but barely.
