Sonster's Wedding

Here we are, almost a month later and I am finally talking about Sonia and Tyson's wedding. Lame, right? But before any more time went on, I had to share a little something about that weekend. It was beautiful. The whole everything about everything. From the weather to the location, to the people, everything was so beautiful. I was so excited. We'd been talking and talking about this wedding for a year, and it was finally here. We had the rehearsal dinner the night before. Actually, they had the rehearsal the night before too-but thank you, Houston traffic, we missed it. Thankfully, that was the only thing we missed. I will spare you from the 465 other photos I took and skip right to the important ones (almost all of which Jeff took.. he's turning into quite the photographer!). When Sonia gets nervous she gets goofy. While I get sweaty, Sonia cracks jokes. I think that was part of her smile as she walked down the aisle... because moments before, she had us all laughing and smiling in the little area we waited in before going down the aisle. Sonia looked like a dream. Doesn't her Dad look so proud? And you can't see it in this picture, but she had about 40 people watching the wedding from their balconies. Sonia couldn't see Tyson, but that's who all of us bridesmaids were looking at as she was walking up. He couldn't take his eyes off her, and the whole moment made some of us get misty eyed. Including Tyson. That's when Jane started to sniff, which caused me to sniff, which almost caused an emergency situation as I did not opt for fake eyelashes, or waterproof mascara. Thank goodness the ceremony started and we got distracted. Pastor Ware gave such a beautiful sermon on the holiness of matrimony. The whole ceremony was so sweet, Tyson and Sonia are just the cutest couple in the world. Sonia and Tyson-husband and wife!!! After the ceremony we cruised to the beach for a few snapshots. Having to cross the road by the seawall is no small feat-but cars on both sides of the road screeched to a halt so Sonia and Tyson could run across the road. Then they all honked and screamed congrats out the window at them. The seawall was packed with people-and EVERYONE was yelling congrats to the bride and groom, telling Sonia how fantastic she looked, and of course, all the little girls draws hit the ground and they just stopped and stared. And they totally deserved it. They were just stunning-both Tyson and Sonia were glowing like little lightening bugs. I was dying-I almost always have my video camera and this time it had been forgotten in the hotel room, twice. Ugh!!!! I have to quit thinking about that. Anyway, the ceremony, the photos, the wedding.. the reception, everything was seriously so insanely beautiful. I didn't want the night to end. I loved every minute of it and was so glad to have been a part of it. Sonia has been one of the best friends anyone could ask for.
And of course, I had a great weekend with my honey, in my dress that totally fit like a glove. I am hoping they do vow renewals or something next year. I'd totally do this again.
Love Anna
