Ugh.. Babies

I was being a responsible parent tonight at my brothers when I realized it had been a while since I'd seen my baby. I finally stopped shoving brisket (ooooh the food we had tonight... I gained 8,000 pounds) in my mouth to see where he was. Tristan had crawled across the house and was hanging out with the big kids. Big kids love it when babies come play. They love it especially when babies sit on the books they are trying to read. Sometimes I think big kids expect too much from babies. Like basic understanding of the English language and common courtesy.

As I peeked around the corner I heard Mary ask Tristan in the nicest voice, "Um. Baby? Please move. Please move............ Please move..... "

He continued to sit on the book she was trying to read. He started thumbing through pages.

"Please move." He gave her a blank stare and continued sitting on the book. She waited patiently for him to do something, anything else but sit on the book.

She turned to her friend and begged, "Can you please move him?"

Her friend replied, "Ugh. No. He doesn't listen to me, either."
