Happy Halloween

I feel like we have done enough trick or treating to last us a couple years-WHICH IS AWESOME.  Lubbock has a TON of community events during October and we have tried to hit as many as possible.  We did the pet costume contest, the pumpkin trail, the pumpkin festival, the TTU safe treat, the Ranch Heritage trick or treat, and I can't even remember the rest.  But, my favorite was tonight.  We took Tristan and Chunky around our neighborhood first.  Tristan loves, loves his dog and makes sure he is always leashed.  Chunky isn't so much a fan.
 I mean, I can't even imagine why.
He wouldn't budge after he drug the pumpkin a few feet.  He is above this type of work.
Our neighborhood was a little um... a little lacking in candy.  We hit a few houses, but after we got to the house where the brother was going to take his little sisters candy to give to Tristan and she was screaming bloody murder, we decided to go to a nearby neighborhood.  Much better choice.  And good choice in going early, too.
When we first got there you could actually walk on the sidewalk and say "Hi" to the people handing out candy.
Tristan was a total ham.  Everyone thought he was adorable.  He said, "Trick or Treat" and then of course, "Thank you!"  And if an older person answered the door, "I miss moo, Pampa!  I see you later!"
This is Jeff stealing dots from an unattended bucket.  On the way back to the car he actually tried to take more.
By 7:40 it was so crowded that people were running out of candy.  We were pretty proud Tristan helped shut down town and came home with so much candy his little arm was tired from holding the bucket.  Of course, he wouldn't give it up... he held it til he just couldn't anymore.
When we got home we celebrated and sorted candy.  Jeff never actually sorted candy growing up.  He just ate it.  I had to take some sort of inventory-you had to know what you were going to trade and what you were going to save to eat last.  So Tristan and I counted his prized suckers and then Jeff and I ate all the Dots and Twix.  I mean, we had to check the candy because it looked suspicious.

Tristan went to bed sticky and happy and full of way too much candy.  So did Jeff and I.

Happy Halloween :)

Love Anna
