California

After driving about 2800 miles by ourselves (we had to drive two separate cars) we finally arrived in Texas and were there long enough to drop off our stuff before heading out to California. Jeff's brother and wife just had their fourth little darling a couple months ago so we came out for her baby blessing. But this weekend we packed in some crazy fun while waiting for Sunday to roll around. We headed to San Diego with Jeff's parents and the rest of the Tew family and took a Seal tour. They're pretty nifty buses that turn into boats when they drive into the water. My favorite part was watching one of the war ships that docks in the harbor come home. The ship was HUGE. I totally dare any pirates to hijack that thing. Then we got to watch four Navy SEALS come cruising in on wave runners at 100mph. That was pretty cool-it looked like a scene from James Bond.

Then we headed over to hang out at La Jolla cove. It was beautiful. We harassed hermit crabs, anemones, sea lions and some swimmers. Then we ate dinner and hurried over to catch the musical presentation that was at the San Diego temple. It was a beautiful night, especially cause I love the whole Christmas season. If you look closely in this picture there is a hidden baby-can you find him!? Tonight we decorated the tree and got Kelli started on the whole blogging thing. Grant will LOVE that!

*The song for this blog is none other than the OC's "California!"*

I can't get the picture to go any bigger! I am guessing that the baby is in Mary's arms though....or in your tummy? Is there something you need to tell us? Anyhow....when are you coming back and when are you leaving again cause if my kids don't see you before Christmas they are going to go nuts. Audrey Beebe is coming down the 15th through the 18th and asked if you would be here. She wants to see ya again and meet Jeff. Evidently you left an impression on the trip to Austin :)
