On the whatever day of our trip...

First and foremost I would like to apologize to President Tolman for the early (1am) wake up call... I couldn't find my temple recommend to save my life. Fortunately, he was as kind as could be and vouched for me so I could go inside with the group. What a diverse temple!!! I think at any given time there were at least 6 different languages being spoken. At any rate, it was beautiful and I'm so glad that I got to go!

I know these pictures are sideways. But-I'm at work and can't flip them sooooo I will take them down and do it later. But for now, there they are.

We took a detour to see the Munster chapel. This one was 1,000 years old. It's amazing to think how old everything is in Europe. While we were there a small parade started. I'm not sure what it was, but another tourist and I started the rumor that it was because the cows were finally getting to go out to pasture. Thus, time to celebrate. There could be some truth to that, or there might not be. Who knows... I was just happy cause I got a free balloon.

I loved their little outfits. All the little girls were dressed alike and holding hands while they meandered down the street.

I finally, finally got to see gargoyles. I'd been waiting this whole trip and here was one. They're not nearly as scary as the cartoons make them out to be.

Many of the churches there used the basements as the cemetary. It was fantastic to see the 1,000 year old tombs.

I really loved the colored tile roofs. They are so unique! This little town was nice because it didn't have half the tourists as many of the other places we visited did.

We told the GPS we wanted to avoid the highway and we literally ended up on many one way roads in the middle of nowhere France and Switzerland. It was breathtakingly beautiful. I would highly recommend getting lost in tiny little towns. One of the cute snapshot memories of this drive was the father and son walking next to the creekside with their fishing gear on. It could have been out of a movie.
