Christmas in Dixie

We are near Richmond, Virginia spending Christmas with the Tew side of the family. It's Tew much fun out here. My Mother in Law and I went shopping all day Monday, I went shopping with my sister-in-laws yesterday, and today we all made cookies, hung around the house, played with the dog, went sledding in the yard and enjoyed each others company. I feel so lucky and blessed to have such wonderful family on both sides.I couldn't get over how beautiful everything is with over a foot of snow. Virginia hasn't had this much snow this early in 30 years, but it looks like we'll have a white Christmas tomorrow. Funny story... Jeff's driveway is really long and has a steep hill. I insisted I knew how to drive in the snow and could make it up the driveway just fine. .... the under carriage of my car (Jeff surprised me with the car a couple months ago-isn't he fabulous) didn't agree. It's in the snow where I left it when I had to back down and try again. The Tew's have holly lining the drive way and all through the yard. We've been out walking and even saw a few deer hanging out in the yard. I seriously could just sit outside all day and take in the beautiful southern Christmas weather.
Shouldn't this be on a post card? They've lived here for about 30 years...May all your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmas' be white...
Love Anna

Why is our snow so yucky? Your pictures look picture perfect. It's like Norman Rockwell.

Man, I wish we were having a white christmas. It's yucky snow over here. Not the pretty kind that Virginia has right now. Jeff's house is GORGEOUS. I love it! I love Virginia and the moments of beauty you've captured in the pics...

Wow, I am jealous! The house is PERFECT! It is a perfect colonial Virginian home. When was it built?
