Spring Break at Enchanted Rock

The first time I went to Enchanted Rock I was probably about five years old. It was around October, my Dad took us with Tiffany's venture crew. I remember feeling bad because "poor Mom got left home, AND it's her birthday!" Yeeeah, poor Mom. Had to stay home. Anyway, I love going there and our family is usually out there about twice a year for different youth group trips. Spring Break was this last week, and I thought it would be fun to spend two days in a wet tent. Thirteen other teen girls thought they'd join me. Well, it didn't start wet. It started out beautiful. Then it got wet. Which broke my heart because these girls have been so excited to rock climbing and we got totally rained out. But at least we made it to the top of the dome and no one complained about anything. They were so sweet to each other, they shared dry clothing, dry equipment, and dry gear. It makes me want to have nothing but girls. Boys just whine and complain the whole time they're out. We'd never know if they would share dry clothes because they usually just wear what they wore the week before they went on the trip, and don't bring any new clean clothes. Ask Blake what happened years ago on a Scout trip when he stuck his week-old sock in my Dad's face while driving home. Here's a clue. They never found the sock. Blake was lucky he didn't fit out the window.
When I say no one complained I meant no one except Chunky. I could hardly coax him out of the sleeping bag, let alone the tent. Poor little guy. Someone should get him a jacket.
Awww, there we go! Much better! He actually had a good time, he sat in cactus, chewed on cactus, and chased cactus. Yes, I know they don't move.. but don't tell him. Overall, it was a great trip and we ended up taking the girls to the rock gym at the YMCA so they could go climbing. Hope y'all had a great Spring Break!

Ahh, that sounds way more fun than ours. And girls are better.

Girls do it, too.

I don't know what kind of freak girl party you had, but, trust me. Some of them didn't change their underwear.
