Where's The Beef?

Last Friday my poor Dad was asked to go to his friend's ranch and shoot guns with a co-worker visiting from China. I happened to stop by the house as just they were finishing lunch (mmmm, so I helped) and then invited myself and Jeff to come along to the ranch. Jeff has a new gun he hasn't had a chance to try out yet, so he was pretty excited. The weather was outstanding-couldn't have asked for a more beautiful afternoon. Texas is truly God's country :) We had a blast shooting-it was Ken's first time but you would have never known by how good his aim was! Jim and Dad were regulars, and Jeff and I enjoyed blowing through some rounds with his new toy. My favorite might have been getting to drive the ATV around, it's been so long since I've been on one but I felt right at home. I think every pregnant girl should get to ride one.At some point my Dad made a crack about calving season when we went to see the cows. Hmmm. Wise man-it was AFTER we went shooting.
This little guy was hanging out by himself. I would have liked to have taken him home, but I don't think he'd fit in with the dog and the squirrels. I'd also like a camera with more than 7.1 mega pixels. We stayed til just after sunset before we all took off, and we were bummed to leave. It was a really great afternoon. Jeff and I have decided we'd like to live in the middle of nowhere with nothing but some cows for neighbors. I hear they like to make homemade pies.
Love Anna

Wonder how the baby liked the shooting sounds~ he's going to be good and conditioned to loud noises!
