He's Two

Can you believe this little boy is 2 already?? I know everyone says that, but it's pretty much the same feeling. They grow too fast.  This year I wanted to recreate the same shoot as last year, but with double the balloons.  We went and got the cute large balloons again, only to have 3 of them pop before we made it out to take pictures.  I then had to stop at the store and buy another handful of balloons.  We were lucky these 2 made it-it was SO windy and ridiculous out!    Tristan enjoyed his balloons and was so cute.
Chunky was ridiculous. He refused to sit for any photos. Every time I'd pick him up he'd turn into a water balloon and pretend to die in the grass.  They're such good buddies I wanted him in the pictures, and this was about as good as it got.  Squirrels!

Tristan at 2:

Repeats anything you say, but my favorite words are:
Fruit Snack: "Froo Nack"
Apple: "Ah-hole"
 Grandma: "Bampa"
Grandpa:  "Bampa"
Cell Phone: "Mo-mo" <-- but="" don="" i="" is="" it="" know="" mo="" p="" s="" t="" why="">
And he tells stories now.  Especially if he got hurt, he wants to tell you how it happened.  He also sings a lot and it's really sweet. He loves the Alphabet Song, Silent Night, and Old McDonald.

Favorite Food:
Right now he doesn't actually eat food. He mostly drinks chocolate milk and grazes.  He has a fruit snack obsession and will eat corn.  And toast.

Favorite Show:
Curious George.  Until the long airplane ride, it was the only thing he'd actually watch.  He loves Monkey.  Lately he has also enjoyed Bolt, because there are cats AND dogs.

Favorite Activities at Home:
Jumping off the sofa.  I swear he is going to break something.  He also likes to put Chunky to bed, feed Chunky, get on the counters and cut things with scissors.

My sister in law asked if he had a favorite toy.  He doesn't really.  He doesn't have a favorite anything.  He prefers to have his Gerber brand binky at night, but since we left it in Dallas he has a Nuk one.  If we can't find his blankey, he will be a little sad, but he will use another one.   We could actually probably take it away, but we'll just wait until we lose this last one and then call it quits.  He doesn't care what plate he uses, he doesn't care what fork he has.  He doesn't care about clothes.  He really likes cars, trucks and balls, but not in any particular order. He also loves babies and rocks them to "night night."

Friends:
He is really getting into playing with friends and it's adorable.  He recognized some of their faces while we were looking at pictures in China and said their names.

Overall, he is a pretty sweet and chill little kid.  Now that he is 2 we have had some phenomenal melt downs.  And there have been a few days where he has worn the same shirt because he didn't want to take it off.  But, that aside, he's still Jeff's kid.  Still chill, still pretty happy go lucky.  Easy going.  Whatever....

.... unless he has to get in the car seat.

Happy late birthday, little Man! We love you!

Love Anna
