Happy Halloween ya'll!

Jeff and I are trying to decide what married couples do this year for Halloween. We don’t have kids yet, just pocket lint and a board game (Monopoly, and Jeff won’t play anymore cause he hates losing (muahahaha) and we don’t want to hit up the usual single scene parties because well, single is as single does. Being a single girl at BYUI around Halloween means you dress like a skank, dance with other girls and try to attract boys who try to dress in a costume that makes them cooler than they really are. It’s a lot like watching the discovery channel around monkey breeding season, only that isn’t as hairy. That leaves us with two options-the ward party, or the school party. I haven’t been to either ever. But the problem is that we don’t have costumes. We wanted to go as Adam and Eve but I think wearing only fig leaves and mooning everyone at the school social would be good reason for them to ask us to leave permanently. I thought it’d be cute to dress up as like Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, or a plug and a plug in thing, or a spoon and a knife, or Bat Man and Catwoman… but we’ve left us stuck into a corner with few options. Jeff normally has really cute costumes for Halloween and so do I but it seems that this year we just forgot it was coming and it snuck up on us.
Just like these pictures from the past! We are so cute! I'm fixen to go so I can ponder on some halloween party/costume ideas... meanwhile... should any moms out there be reading this:
You don't have to be one of those mothers who go all out for Halloween to enjoy this holiday. You know the ones I mean. They sit on the front row in the gymnasium during the kindergarten Halloween assembly with a video camera, taking pictures of Melvin in his homemade, green satin stegosaurus costume complete with stuffed spikes and a six-foot tail. When my children ask for help with their costumes, I tell them to tape a raisin to their belly buttons and go as cookies.
