Great Dane! They're puppies!

I keep forgetting to blog about Lisa. In fact, I keep forgetting to blog in general. Like I said when I started, "Who has time to sit down and do this!?" Well, I'm finding time this week while I'm at work (Kristen-don't tell Scott). So here we go. Lisa is my buddy from church. She has 4 kids (Logan, Caleb, Sariah and Emily), a husband (Keith), and lots of pets which we will meet in a minute. She's done ALL sorts of things in her life. She ran cross country, sang, was a nurse, worked at a bank, had something to do with scrap booking and still has boxes of paper to prove it, and among the millions of other things is currently the Relief Society president for our church. This summer we've gotten to be super good friends. Anyway, the point is that Lisa is awesome and someone should move to Seeley Lake and buy her house. ... cause it's for sale. And she wants to move to her dream house. Anyway, Lisa had two ginormous great Dane's that they 1. Rescued (one of them) and 2. Use as protection for the kids when they play outside against lions, tigers and bears (two of those which frequent her yard). Eventually Batman and Duchess got preggers this summer and last Thursday she had 8 puppies. However, Sunday morning something was very wrong with Duchess, and she died at the Vet's office. It turns out she had some bad internal bleeding and other complications. And before anyone could really grieve about that, the puppies had to be taken care of. So about half the branch has been at Lisa's the last couple days trying to help keep the 7 remaining puppies alive.
I spent the night there last night to help with the night feedings. I thought I'd miss having Jeff so snugly and close, but since Batman was a little sad he climbed into bed with me. He was as bad as Jeff, he kept licking my face and shoving me off the bed!!! Anyway, keep your fingers crossed that all these little guys make it.

That is so sad about Mama Pup. I hope all the little ones make it as well. It's nice of you to help out with all the puppies! They are adorable. That is crazy about lions and bears (or tigers, but I would guess not them) frequent your friend's yard. Kinda scary, especially for the kids.
