You must try Groom's Cake ice cream

I have come to the conclusion that I have no will power. None. Not even an ounce.

Deanna is doing this awesome diet thing where you just basically avoid sugar (except for six cheats), fried foods, drink lots of water and exercise a decent amount each week. That's easy... I thought to myself. I decided I would try the 42 day deal because there is WAY too much sugar and fried food in my diet. June 1 was the next start date. I was too scared to actually email the group and join (cause I knew I wouldn't be able to say no to that milkshake..) and decided to try it out on my own and see if I could do it.

I CAN'T!

I took Tucker to Chic-Fil-A today to celebrate school ending tomorrow. We both got milk shakes. They had free rootbeer floats at Sonic tonight. I had one. I had cake for breakfast. Yesterday I tried to justify the two bowls of ice cream because "Well, you can have 20oz of soda a day.. that's like 60 grams of sugar!" I felt great til I saw that a 1/2 cup of Grooms Cake ice cream has 200 grams, and I easily had 3 cups. Monday I polished off an ice cream cone. I did sit around in my running clothes most of the day, just in case I went. I can't even pretend to say no to anything related to ice cream or sugar!

So here we go-I'm going to post this out there so everyone knows I'm going to try to avoid sugar-so I can hold y'all responsible when I slip up! And now I'm going to go and finish the last bit of Groom's Cake so I won't be tempted to eat any more of it....

That is my biggest vice - SUGAR -
I have tried these diets before where I cut it out and I actually physically go into withdrawal. (curled up in a ball on the couch with a huge headache thinking I must have gotten swine flu). If you do have the will power than an apple actually takes away the headache for awhile. Mostly I have to start my day with something that has honey on it and then munch apples all day. Sigh....never mind, I'll think I'll just have another piece of carrot cake instead (it has carrots!)

Ha ha ha! I set a goal several months ago to only have dessert once a week. Then I changed it to only once a day, and this is still a challenge!

I'd rather gorge on cookie dough ice cream, no wait, just the cookie dough...
