Galveston

Saturday while Jeff was working I skipped out on cleaning and went to the beach with Ben and Tonia. There was a big family activity full of sea turtles, conchs and other exhibits. It was pretty entertaining, and the kids had a blast. At least I think they did. There were quite a few exhibits, and I don't think we made it to all of them. We had a beach to get to.

DRIP CASTLES-Dad taught us how to make these!

We met up with some friends of theirs who decided to park next to a stagnant pool of water. For some reason, their kids were playing in it. Gross. We finally went over to the real beach and played with some waves and made sand castles. Actually, Ben made the sand castle and the girls played in the waves. And then some other random little girl came over and made Ben show her how to make the sand castle, and then when he walked away she claimed the one he made and screamed at Ben's girls when they came back to play.

This picture cracks me up. It looks like I don't have any legs. I was really bummed I forgot to bring extra clothes, the water was just warm enough to swim in and I really, really wanted to go swimming. I don't have a swim suit that I could wear, but I meant to bring a change of clothes. Lame!
